Sowell offers a fantastic location, perfectly situated between the old and new city with an abundance of nearby restaurants. The room was spacious, providing ample space for work, and the air conditioning was efficient. The staff was friendly and readily assisted with my business needs.

Carcassonne's food scene is a delight! Don't miss nearby eateries like L'Etape for scrumptious local bites and Patisserie BIMAS for decadent pastries. The hotel also features a fantastic breakfast and a stunning terrace view, making mornings feel special.

The coffee machine was a bit rubbish. I'd much prefer a kettle with proper tea and coffee options. Plus, more milk and cream would have been a lovely touch!

sowell is a lovely hotel with clean, spacious rooms and great terraces overlooking the old bridge and the medieval city, especially beautiful at night. breakfast was fantastic, with lots of hot and cold options. a special shoutout to tamara at reception for being super friendly and welcoming.

I had an incredible time exploring the nearby La Cite Medievale, just over a kilometer away, and enjoyed peaceful strolls along Pont-Vieux, which was only a few steps from the hotel, making it so easy to soak in the beautiful scenery and rich history of Carcassonne. The staff were really friendly, especially Abdel at the reception, who helped make my stay comfortable and enjoyable during my one-night visit.

Perfect for a couple getaway

The location was incredible, right between the old walled town and the lower town, making it super convenient for sightseeing. My fiancée and I were impressed by the cleanliness, and those little things like slippers and a hairdryer really made it feel like a 4-star hotel.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but still acceptable for what you got.
